I think it's great to reflect and express yourself about "What is Art" and that discussion about the topic can be positive. The topic of the forum is Fine Art but writing on the forum can belong to the liberal arts namely logic, rhetoric, grammar. By registering on the forum you agree that "you will not post any material which is knowingly false, inaccurate, abusive, hateful, harassing, sexually orientated, threatening or invasive of a person's privacy or may violate any applicable laws" so faulty argumenta ad hominem are fortunately not allowed (I am not good at coping with them). Professional arguing follows rules and structures but is not only a science but also an art. Personally I believe that it should not be the goal to convince but rather to detect fallacies, gain new insight, inspire, solve disagreement and clarify.
